Mock Draft 3.0

Earlier this week, Donovan McNabb was traded to the Washington Redskins for a couple of draft picks. Basically we can safely say Jason Campbell is out of a starting job. There's been a few shake ups in this mock draft because of a few trades and actually seeing what teams will do when it comes to choosing between best available and best available for your team's needs.

1. St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma.
There's no change here. Bradford shined at his pro-day and is the best quarterback in this year's draft. (Previous: Bradford)

2. Detroit Lions: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State.
Although Suh or McCoy can definitely work at this position, the only problem is getting Matthew Stafford help at his front line. They have backfield issues, so the more their O-Line can protect Stafford will help lessen the possibility of the young QB looking like a dud. (Previous: Ndamakong Suh)

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma.
McCoy has surpassed Suh as to becoming the #1 player at the DT position, but it's seemingly even. McCoy should have the right potential to man the front line the Buccs desperately need. (Previous: McCoy)

4. Washington Redskins: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma.
With Chris Samuels retiring and the trade for Donovan McNabb, Shanahan has answered to the QB questions and now he has to answer that gaping left hole on the O-Line. (Previous: Russell Okung)

5. Kansas City Chiefs: Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa.
I can't lie here, I truly like Eric Berry to go at this point, but pass protection is a huge concern especially when 2/3 of your divisional rivals are using the aggressive 3-4 scheme. (Previous: Eric Berry)

6. Seattle Seahawks: Ndamakong Suh, DT, Nebraska.
Pete Carroll won't be dumb enough to pass up on Suh. Plain and simple. (Previous: Bryan Bulaga)

7. Cleveland Browns: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee.
Berry has ball hawking ability, speed, and he can tackle which makes him an extremely versatile player. The advantage with taking Berry over Joe Haden is that you can move Berry around in the secondary to cover primary, secondary, slot, backfield, or tight end receivers. (Previous: Joe Haden)

8. Oakland Raiders: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame.
This would be a very smart play if Al Davis would choose to go down this road. They couldn't land a QB in the offseason. (Previous: Taylor Mays)

9. Buffalo Bills: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State.
A QB should be taken during the draft, but not here at the 9th position. Dez Bryant should make life easier for which ever QB is installed under center. (Previous: Jimmy Clausen)

10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech.
Although Aaron Kampman signed, they would be asking too much from him if he were to play multiple downs. (Previous: Earl Thomas)

11. Denver Broncos: Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama.
If Dez Bryant were to be taken before, McClain clears his path out to be picked up here but let's not forget about Dan Williams or Sergio Kindle. (Previous: McClain)

12. Miami Dolphins: Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas.
Kindle would excel in The Dolphins' D. Not to mention Parcells' track record for his OLBs. (Previous: Derrick Morgan)

13. San Francisco 49ers: Earl Thomas, S, Texas.
Safety help is essential since picking up their primary conern (QB) is out of the question here, and through out the first round. (Previous: Trent Williams)

14. Seattle Seahawks: Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland.
C.J. Spiller could go at this spot, but what's a QB and RB's worth without their line? (Previous: Dez Bryant)

15. New York Giants: Sean Witherspoon, OLB, Missouri.
Witherspoon has the ability to play middle as well as outside. If The Giants can't resolve their MLB issues, Witherspoon definitely has a huge shot in NY. (Previous: Jason Pierre-Paul)

16. Tennessee Titans. Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida.
Pierre-Paul does look like he can be pro-ready by the time they throw him in the line. Everyone has to remember though is that he would be living in the shadows of his predecessors from a few years back. (Previous: Dan Williams)

17. San Francisco 49ers: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers.
Strengthening that O-Line is crucial due to the fact of their QB issues. Whoever they throw back there would definitely need some help. (Previous: Sergio Kindle)

18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Joe Haden, CB, Florida.
YES!!! I'd be surprised too if I were Haden. The Steelers need a CB, and best CB in the draft they get. (Previous: Kyle Wilson)

19. Atlanta Falcons: Brandon Graham, OLB, Michigan.
There wouldn't be any surprise here even if they go with Jerry Hughes or a DE. (Previous: Graham)

20. Houston Texans: Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State.
This is where a huge dilemma would incur. Pick up Wilson and pass on C.J. Spiller? Yes, but The Texans would need here is a pounder for the backfield. There are plenty in the later rounds. (Previous: C.J. Spiller)

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Taylor Mays, S, USC.
This wouldn't be a surprise here. The Bengals need a safety especially their division rivals are stocking up on receivers. This would be a good day for any USC/Bengal Fan. (Previous: Everson Griffen)

22. New England Patriots: Everson Griffen, DE, USC.
With the departure of Jarvis Green and Richard Seymour, that D is starting to look a bit rocky. Look for The Pats to draft for their defense early and often in the draft. (Previous: Carlos Dunlap)

23. Green Bay Packers: Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers.
The next best available corner. This should be the primary concern for The Packers with their secondary aging. (Previous: Mike Iupati)

24. Philadelphia Eagles: Maurkice Pouncey, C/OG, Florida.
Mike Iupati would be a possibility, but Pouncey has the ability to move from the C position to the OG. (Previous: Pouncey)

25. Baltimore Ravens: Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida.
With a limited amount of draft picks, The Ravens won't play around. They'll get straight to the point and address their needs with the next best available for any holes. (Previous: Brian Price)

26. Arizona Cardinals: Daryl Washington, ILB, TCU.
This would be The Cardinals' attempts at replacing Dansby. (Previous: Anthony Davis)

27. Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Hughes, OLB, TCU.
Hughes is a great player. Versatile also. With the Cowboys in the 3-4 defense, Hughes would have the flexibility to move around outside to in. (Previous: Patrick Robinson)

28. San Diego Chargers: C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson.
Even if Dan Williams and below were available for The Chargers to fill in that void at NT, if Spiller was and is still available, Spiller would be taken here. And if you ask why did Spiller drop all the way down here? That RB core this year looks pretty decent, especially if each player lands on a specific team that can develop them outright. Unlike other positions where the higher value players are limited. (Previous: Ryan Matthews)

29. New York Jets: Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame.
Sanchez needs additional help, target wise. Either Tate or Gresham can go here. (Previous: Jermaine Gresham)

30. Minnesota Vikings: Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State.
They seriously can't pass up on Odrick at the 30 spot. Either him or Patrick Robinson.
(Previous: Devin McCourty)

31. Indianapolis Colts: Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State.
Robinson vs. Saffold? Saffold doesn't have the value to be drafted in the first round, even though its late already. (Previous: Kareem Jackson)

32. New Orleans Saints: Ryan Matthews, RB, Fresno State.
Matthews will be The Saints way of returning for letting Mike Bell walk. Other players can play the part for the Saints at this point, but Matthews would be their best, and safest bet for improvement. (Previous: Jared Odrick)
